Hey! I'm Vicky, I'm a third year Computer Science student and this year's president for Warwick Taekwondo (woop woop). I'll be managing the day to day running of the club and making sure the exec is working hard to make the club the best it can be for all you lovely people! If you've got any queries about anything to do with the club, I'll also (hopefully) be able to answer your question or point you in the direction of someone who will, so don't be afraid to message myself or any of the exec (we're really friendly I promise). I have my 2nd Degree black belt in WT so I joined back in my first year and I'm so glad I did. One of my favourite things about the club is the people - everyone's so friendly and welcoming. We mainly practice ITF, but we accommodate all styles (which I love because WT is great obvs) and all levels so it's perfect for everyone whether you're a seasoned martial artist or you've never even heard of Taekwondo before. So come along and join the Taekwondo fam!
Hey, I'm Seb. I'm a third year maths student and the club's treasurer. I joined the club at the start of my first year, having done martial arts before university, and have enjoyed being part of the club and love the friendly atmosphere. It's been a great place to see and appreciate numerous different styles of TaeKwonDo and I highly regard the self-discipline the martial art instils. My responsibilities range from nagging you to pay training fees to managing the club accounts and, as an exec member, I hope to help our new members feel welcome at both training and socials. If you've never done martial arts before don't worry, it's great seeing people give it a go! If you're unsure about anything payment or club related I should be a good person to ask. I don't think I'm that scary?
Hi there! I’m Jonathan, a second year History student and your club secretary for this coming year. My job is to make sure that you get all the important information that you need to allow you to fully participate in Taekwondo life at Warwick. I’m your go to for any questions you may have so please ask away.
I’ve been doing Taekwondo for over 15 years and I am a 2nd degree black belt in ITF. Taekwondo has been a part of my life as long as I can remember and has improved me as a person both mentally and physically. I joined Warwick Taekwondo club during freshers and I haven’t looked back. I have made some amazing friends and the atmosphere is so welcoming whether you are a black belt or a white belt it really doesn’t matter. I would encourage anybody to join the club no matter your sporting background, it really doesn’t matter. So, if you have any questions then don’t hesitate to contact us, we really aren’t that scary. Promise!
These are Beth and Hannah, your social secretaries! More info coming soon...
Hello all, this is your Captain speaking. I’m a 1st Dan Black belt, I started TKD when I was just 8, and I have enjoyed training ever since. At university, I am a 3rd year Biologist, and a 3 year member of the club. My role as captain is to run the competition side of the club. During the year we attend several competitions where we put in practice what we’ve learnt, bring back a bunch of medals and forge ourselves into superior martial artists in the fiery crucible of battle. Ahem, I mean we have a lot of fun.
I run a weekly “squad” session, that focuses on fitness, sparring and general competition preparedness. Everyone is welcome, and I highly suggest that you come along and give competing a go. Tae Kwon Do provides a very beginner friendly format for a combat martial art, and the rules reward speed and technique over brute strength.
Hello there! I'm Callum, a 3rd-year English Lit student and your go-to guy for all you charity and publicity needs. It's my job to make sure we raise plenty of dough for some great causes, and to keep the club's website and social media up to date. That said, if you've managed to find this webpage (and it isn't on fire) then I'm doing something right!
I joined this club in my first year with no previous sport or martial arts experience of any kind and it has easily been the biggest highlight of my uni experience, both in training and at socials. Getting to blue-tag has been a fantastic experience and I've become much stronger physically and mentally as a result. Stay a while and give us a shot - you won't regret it!

You just need to try it for yourself really! If you have any questions or are even unsure as to where to start with martial arts in the first place, don’t hesitate to contact us:)
